About Dana

Dana is a professional actor and singer from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Her career began at the age of 12 when she was cast in Upper Lynn’s production of Annie. After attending Capilano University’s Theatre Performance program, she was accepted into The Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts Triple Threat program in Toronto and graduated at the top of her class. During her time at Randolph, Dana was able to fully immerse herself into the performing arts world, singing, dancing and acting with top professionals.

Dana has been privileged to work on stage, film and television, in commercials and in the world of voice overs. After making the move to Calgary, Alberta for what was going to be a short stop-over, Dana realized that the medium of film was calling her name and dove into the next phase of studies. Several short films, two web series and her first lead role in a feature film later, the move back to Vancouver finally felt like the logical and exciting next step.

A few highlight film credits include the indie feature film, Empyrean, the short film, The Post, which premiered at Cannes Film Festival 2013 Not Short on Talent showcase, and The Shooting of Dan McGrew, a short film based on the poem by Yukon poet, Robert W. Service.

Dana’s theatrical highlights include the role of Fiona in Brigadoon, for which she was nominated for a CAT Award for leading actress in a musical and frequently played to sold-out audiences, Hello Dolly, in which she loved playing the hilariously naive side-kick, Minnie Fay, and the ever-present Nurse Flinn in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.

Dana is currently living in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada where she works professionally in film, television and voice over and enjoys the smell of the salt air and selection of fresh fish from the market daily.
